Since I’ve discovered the piece on Youtube, it’s been all I can listen to. Tanya opts to alleviate the instrumental background, bringing about an easily overlooked boldness to her voice. Granted, Tanya is far from being the perfect vocalist, and flaws are immediately noticeable adrift the light harmony being carried the backdrop. However, her pitch-iness and technique are hardly what the audience devotes its attention to, because Tanya is telling your story. And so she takes her time (what a thing to have done), and she begins her tale.
